Around a month ago I started my streak of Harlan Coben Shows. However, when I first started episode 1 of ‘I will Find You’ little did I know what kind of rabbit hole I was letting myself down.

This post is going to be updated live (whilst my thoughts are fresh). It was first updated 02/09/2026. I’ll start by ordering them by which one I watched first, then I’ll re-jig when I’ve finished.

08/09/2026… The Stranger is almost ready to add to the list… and I don’t know where to start with this one!

1/13 – Missing You

Upon reflection, I Will Find You isn’t the first show of his I watched. It all started with ‘Missing You’ last year, although that didn’t grip me quite as much as IWFY did.

I’m going to have to update this post and watch it again because I’ve completely forgotten what happened!

What’s it about?

My ‘Critic’ Rating

2/13 – I Will Find You

What a gripping series! I’ve honestly never seen anything quite like it. I was recommended this from my work colleagues, and I simply shrugged and thought ‘I’ll give it a watch’. Now, I don’t usually really watch anything but I’ve recently pretty much taken over the TV (we might have to invest in another).

After watching this I went back on the listing and scrolled down, only to find there were plenty more where that came from (Harlan Coben).

What’s it about?

Without releasing too many spoilers – okay, so this guy is in prison for the m*rder of his own son – but he is adamant he didn’t do it. So, his ex-sister in law (because his wife has since left him) ends up assisting with his escape to uncover the truth!

My ‘Critic’ Rating

If I was an oscar giver, this one would win them all quite honestly – 11/10.

3/13 – Run Away

This was my second official watch of Coben, since the first one was kind of missed. I have to say the intro did my head in.

What’s it about?

Run Away is about a young girl who runs away and her dad is very protective to he goes on the hunt. As other stories unwind it appears the majority of the cast are hiding quite a few of their own secrets!

My ‘Critic’ Rating

It was quite interesting, but also quite corny, I can’t tell if I enjoyed it yet. I think there are some things that they could’ve done differently, but I think I might give it another bash in a couple of years.

Safe

I watched the last episode of this last night, and I still can’t wrap my head around Dexter having a british accent. I do love Michael C. Hall as an actor, but my god I wish they casted someone else!

What’s it about?

Dexter’s (sorry) daughter goes to a party with her boyfriend and ultimately disappears, there are plenty of twists to this one and one big backstory.

My ‘Critic’ Rating

Despite the twists, none of this surprised me – I could envision the whole outcome from around episode 3 and it didn’t shock me at all. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t not enjoy it, but I certainly wouldn’t jump to watch it again, and I won’t be recommending this one specifically. – 6.5/10
