2025 was full of memories for me. I only really had one sad memory, and that was very sad – it brought many tears, but I’ll get into that as I unwrap my year…
The Glow Up
I’m all about self love, and this is the year I practiced it myself, and I full intend on extending this attitude to 2026.
I’ve always been a lover of tattoos. From a young age I’ve always planned to have a good few, but I’ve never really given myself a kick up the arse; that was until last year. All tattoos were completed by the fabulous Tawny Owl Tattoo, over at The Drop of Ink in Shipley.
This year, I plan to publish a Tattoo Tour video on my YouTube Channel. Until then, here’s a summary of my tattoo collection of 2025:
- Helmet
- Gerbils
- Toadstool
- Snake
- Bird
- Chains
- Violin (Elliot Minor Tribute)
Favourite Band
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Back in April I went to see Elliot Minor, not knowing that I was about to discover my new favourite band; Call Me Amour. These guys bring everything to the stage when they’re on it (or even off it). Their energy is unmatched, and they just complement each other so well. I’m really looking forward to catching them again at Slam Dunk 2026!
Favourite Movies/TV Shows
It’s hard to think about this because I’m currently watching Stranger Things, which is my favourite. However, this is a Jan 2026 fave, not 2025. So, let’s do some digging…
Monsters with Ed Gein would have to be up there, I’d say. I got myself into a right rabbit hole after watching this, and even added Ed’s grave to my ‘find a grave’ account (if you don’t know, get to know).
I’ll be honest though, there wasn’t many films I watched this year. My attention span for watching things is slowly decreasing.
Favourite TikTok Account
In 2025 I found myself drawn to watching TikTok Lives. One account in particular I have enjoyed watching is Rebecca C, who is the host of a dating show on the app. I enjoy watching people build connections, with a bit off added spice (drama) added in there sometimes too.
Favourite Book of 2025
This is the only time you’ll see me include this. Back in July, me and Liam went to Mallorca. Granted, it was quite possibly the worst holiday I’ve ever been on, and it’s completely put me off the island (I’m sure Mallorcans will be very pleased if they read that, even though I’m one of the good/respectful ones). However, on this holiday I actually decided to take a book with me. This isn’t something I ever do.
The book was Poison by Sophie Hannam. It basically runs through all poisons, and examples of when they have been used to inflict death in history. One example was of the Bradford Sweet Poisoning. I was very excited when I read this as I’d actually researched it for The Crypt Chick… you can read all about it here!

Favourite Clothing Item
My all time favourite item of clothing of 2025 would have to be my new favourite leopard print dress. Of course, it’s a SHEIN special. You can find it here.
Best Restaurant
Last year, me and Liam went to see Hilltop Hoods in Manchester. They are an Australian trio who are like a pop/rap sensation. They were the soundtrack to our road trip and it was a pleasure to see them live! Before the show we popped to Tampopo in Manchester. To our surprise, we found our new favourite (mine, anyway). It is East Asian Cuisine that isn’t pinned to one spot on the map, but a master of many. I recommend it to anyone on their next trip to Cottonopolis!
Personal Highlights
- My new car: Last year I swapped my mini out for a younger model. As Liam likes to point out, I no longer drive like a boy racer; I treat this one like a baby!
- I took part in my first ever business trip – I also took this as a hybrid solo travel opportunity. Although I was with my boss, I took the chance to network with colleagues from around the world. It was an insightful and very valuable opportunity.
- Important lesson learned: Life’s too short.

Hilary
Hilary was much more than my mums friend. She had been a second mum figure who has been in my mums life for over 40 years. We sadly lost her in June. She was a beautiful woman who was treasured by many and lit up every room she walked into. Rest in peace Hilary, I hope you’ve found Molly up there x
